Three prestigious institutions— IIT Delhi, University of Strathclyde, and Kyushu University— pooled their expertise for the Global Design Project, focusing on mitigating Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) during extended air travel.
Overcoming differed time zones, linguistic and cultural barriers, the collaboration produced innovative solutions, demonstrating the efficacy of international cooperation in industrial design.
This interdisciplinary initiative highlighted the significance of cross-cultural collaboration in addressing complex global challenges. By leveraging diverse perspectives and expertise, the project not only advanced our understanding of DVT prevention but also exemplified the potential of collaborative endeavors in industrial design research.
How is our product Different?
Venocare sets itself apart in the market for several reasons:
- It is compact enough to fit into a small bag (inclusive) , making it lightweight and portable.
- It enables easy application and removal, which is not the case with compression stockings.
- As a single product, it offers multiple levels of compression, unlike compression stockings, allowing for customization.
- It facilitates the quick release of compression when necessary.
- It visually indicates the level of increased compression via a pressure meter.
- It is the only product that combines compression with suitable exercises as a form of reward.
- It supports two types of exercises that are appropriate for DVT prevention.
- It can be used modularly, allowing for a 180-degree rotation of the leg pedal.
-Applications not just limited to flights, would allow airlines to keep their own kits, and also customers to have their own.
-Good for DVT patients and general physical wellbeing as well.
